Wolf Pit Lake 

Wolf Pit Lake is a small kettle lake located on Wickham Avenue in one of the most serene areas of Mattituck. It's perfect for a short hike, birdwatching, sitting on a bench and reading, and when weather permits, ice skating.  In 1967, Judge Ralph W. Tuthill and Family donated the property to the Mattituck Park District.

In December we float a holiday tree on the lake, which gives an extra reason to visit, but really, this gem is a worthwhile visit anytime.
