Peconic Bay Park 

Beach, Boating, and a Field

This quiet, sandy beach on Great Peconic Bay does not have a lifeguard or restrooms and thus swimming is prohibited. Located about a quarter of a mile to the west of Veterans Memorial Beach, the park is just over the border in Laurel. Peconic Bay Park adjoins the Mattituck Yacht Club, and you can watch the sailors or put your own sailboat, kayak, or paddleboard in. (The Mattituck Yacht Club is not affiliated with the MPD). Like all our beaches, Peconic Bay is  a nice spot for sunsets. 

A Beach Parking Permit is required to enter. Residents may rent space on our kayak rack to store kayaks or paddle boards. The open field is good for frisbee, kite flying or a pickup game of baseball or soccer.
