Located at the end of Bay Avenue, this popular property includes 400 feet of white sandy beach along Great Peconic Bay, a playground, a picnic area, a bocce court, and shuffleboard. The picnic area offers barbecue grills, electricity, water, and restrooms. Residents may store their kayak or paddleboard at the Veterans Beach rack by purchasing a permit.
During the summer season (from Memorial Day Weekend through Labor Day Weekend), enjoy swimming here under the watchful eye of our lifeguards. A beach wheelchair is available for disabled patrons, and we offer an outdoor shower. Forgot your beach toys? Borrow some from our beach toy chest, donated by the Girl Scouts. In season, you must display our beach parking permit to access the parking for the beach and other facilities. Bicycles can use our bike rack without a parking permit.

Veterans Park and Beach is also home to the Mattituck Park District Office. You'll also find a free lending library, adjacent to the bicycle rack. The residents of Browers Woods donated it, and committed to being its steward. We encourage you to check it out when you visit.
Veterans Park Venues for Rent
The Community Room and Picnic Area are available to rent year-round for weddings and parties of all types, meetings, seminars, conferences, and retreats. They can be rented separately or together, depending on your needs. Rental fees are always much lower for our residents than for non-residents, and in the winter residents get an extra discount.
