Chief Lifeguard

The Mattituck Park District is seeking a qualified Chief Lifeguard to supervise and coordinate all lifeguard operations at the District. Thorough knowledge of water rescue and first aid techniques, strong supervisory skills, sound judgment, and excellent physical condition are essential. Interested candidates should submit an application to clerk@mattituckparks.gov

Minimum Qualifications:

• Two (2) seasons’ experience as a Senior Lifeguard or Assistant Chief Lifeguard; or

• Four (4) seasons’ experience as a Lifeguard, including at least two (2) seasons in a supervisory capacity.

Special Requirements:

• Valid NYS Open Water Lifeguard Certificate

• Current CPR certification issued within the past year by the American Red Cross or American Heart Association
